Fantastic. Right on the beach , The studio had everything we needed and more .home from home. The host Rheet was very friendly and helpful. we would definitely stay again and next time bring the whole family. great value for money.

Family beach house Our family of 6, two parents, two teens and two grandparents had a wonderful 8 day stay here. Perfect setting right on the beach, wonderfully equipped house, lots of space, comfortable and great hosts onsite. The trio of dogs and cats just made it all the more homily and welcoming for us. We enjoyed everything and would happily stay again.

Beach frontage!!!! Beach frontage....you can't get better than this. We rented the beach house and beach unit for the extended family (12 of us). The two places were right on the beach front, well equipped and had plenty of shade on the decks with big tables that the whole family could sit around. Raewyn was away and her son Rhett, stepped up and was the host with the most. Great coconut husking display and just a genuine top guy! Their 3 dogs were fun and gentle but also great security dogs. We loved the place. Thanks for your hospitality

Simply fabulous A perfect spot for friends or groups to share with great separate houses to accomodate families or groups. Lovey accommodation and right on the beach with good kayaks available. Snorkeling ok at high tide. Nice little beach bar 5 minutes walk away and a shop across the road for essentials. We loved having the dogs Yuppie, Galahad and the overstayer share the holiday. yuppie loved a kayak and all were friendly and very gentle dogs to have around. host Raewyn along with Rhett were so helpful and friendly. We could not have asked for more accommodating and friendly hosts. Would love to return soon.

2nd Time Back! Once again we (7 of us) stayed at Vaiakura Holiday Homes, and once again it was fantastic. Although some previous weather events have changed the beach/reef area slightly, it is still the best spot to holiday in Rarotonga. It is the ideal spot for a medium/large family to just chill out. Amenities are still very good and Raewyn and family are great hosts! You can do as much or as little as you want from this base, but I bet you don't leave too often as the view and surrounding areas are quite stunning. Shop just across the road, a couple of beach bars are a walk along the beach, and most of the island is easily driven/scootered/biked from here! Once again, Thank you Raewyn and family for making our stay so good!

Best Holiday at Vaiakura Holiday Homes We were welcomed by Raewyn (the host) and settled in our beach unit. Great views from our deck out into the lagoon. We stayed 23 days here and enjoyed every moment. Raewyn has all the gear for kayaking, snorkeling and deck chairs on the beach. We used the BBQ every day. Our walks along the beach every day was amazing. We had booked with Raewyn before the first Covid lockdown and kept in touch when the second one came along and we had to postpone once again. It was great to be able to stay at one place and be able to walk around even at night. The locals are very welcoming. I would recommend you come and stay here. Just do it. You will love everything about Vaiakura Holiday Homes, Raewyn and all the dogs that go with the place. Happy times.

Simply idyllic! Our stay at Vaiakura couldn’t have been better. The unit had everything we needed and was comfortable. And what a setting!! Set right on the sand, it was a daily delight to sit on the deck and enjoy the picture postcard view. Raewyn was a fantastic hostess with such an in-depth knowledge of where to go for everything on the island! She was so welcoming and accomodating, nothing was too much trouble. We loved the free access to kayaks and other water toys, and thoroughly enjoyed the company of Yuppy and Galahad the dogs. The snorkelling just out from the house was fantastic - even better when we walked out to the reef at low tide.

Fantastic The hostess with the most friendly attitude and attention. Raewyn provided us with all the ideas and hints that made our trip so wonderful. It all began in Dec 2020 but CrazyCovid put a stop to it and here we are May 2022 and it has been a delightful experience thanks to Raewyn.

Perfect family paradise We were a family group of 10 adults and rented the Beach House and Studio. It was fantastic. The location is right on the beach and there is a large verandah with a big table as well as comfortable chairs that you can lounge in. The place is very well maintained and meticulously clean. Raewyn is really friendly and helpful as well as relaxed. The beach is a bit shallow straight out from the house but there is a perfect swimming spot about 40 metres south. There are kayaks and loungers to use and also beach towels provided. Sunsets were magical and the best cafe on the island, Beluga, is in walking distance and good restaurants also nearby. There are two dogs called Yuppie and Galahad. I am not a big dog fan but these dogs were amazing - friendly without being all over you and never go inside - everyone enjoyed them. Hopefully we will get the chance to return one day. Thanks Raewyn.

Stunning Location and Hostess!! We have visited Rarotonga 6 times over the last 10 years and stayed at different locations each time. VAIAKURA is the only location that we all agreed we would come back to! Our beach unit was simply suberb; tons of space, every amenity you need, bbq for cooking each night, and if you find you are needing anything you just have to ask the wonderful Raewyn. The pictures you see on this site are a very true reflection of the homes available. You ARE right on the beach, the sunsets are stunning, the water is usually 23-25 degrees year round, a few bars/restaurants are in walking distance (either beach or road), a dairy for all your needs is across the road. The dogs are very good and well trained (they don't go into your accommodation unless YOU invite them in), The wonderful Raewyn and family live onsite so she is always accessible and a wealth of knowledge for those who have never visited Rarotonga before! To sum up this holiday home in one word is " Paradise"! This accommodation would be hard to beat anywhere on the island!
